A Week With the Big 5 is one of our most popular safari tours. Guests begin their journey in Nairobi before travelling to the Samburu National Reserve, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara before returning to Nairobi. Things get off to a quick and compelling start as your driver takes you north through the country’s fertile farmlands, past the towering Mount Kenya and then into Samburu National Reserve.
Once inside the reserve, you will be taken on an introductory game drive to acclimatise yourself to the environment and whet your appetite for the following day when you will explore the entire park and get up close and personal with the wildlife. On the third day of your odyssey, you will be transported to Lake Nakuru National Park which is home to more than 400 bird species and is one of the best places in Kenya to view the critically endangered rhino.
On day 4 you will traverse the breathtaking landscape of southwest Kenya and enter the Masai Mara for 3 unforgettable days with the Big 5, along with countless wildebeest, zebras, giraffes and more.
