Depending on the specific Tanzania safari there will be an emphasis on different animals and animal groups. That said, on most of our safari tours you will encounter some or all of the following:

The climate in Tanzania ranges from hot and humid along the coast to cool and temperate in the interior highlands. Like Kenya, Tanzania experiences 2 separate rainy seasons: a short one from late October to early December, and a long one lasting from March through early June. The consensus is that Tanzania safari holidays are best enjoyed during the period lasting from mid-June to mid-October. Keep in mind, however, that all parks and reserves are open year round.
Visitors do not need to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus/covid-19 in order to enter Tanzania and enjoy luxury Tanzania safari tours. They do, however, need to show a negative PCR covid test done no more than 3 days before they arrive. It is also recommended that visitors are vaccinated against hepatitis A and B, typhoid, yellow fever and meningitis and that they take steps to protect themselves against malaria. Ask your doctor about anti-malaria pills.
You need a standard visitor/tourist visa. Until this year a person could obtain one upon arrival in Tanzania. That is no longer the case. Today, all visitors intent on enjoying Tanzania safari holidays must apply for and be issued a visa through the country’s online application system that can be accessed here. On the application website, you will also find information on all the documentation you need to travel to Tanzania.
